Terminator Actuator

The Terminator Actuator is designed to be used with standard 150 lbs. cylinder valves as a fail-safe, automatic-closing valve shut off that supplements the manual operation of the valve in case of an emergency. The light weight Terminator (8 lbs.) is easily installed on a cylinder with standard valves. It's design puts the drive bushing directly on the on the valve stem and two extensions on either side of the valve nozzle to secure the actuator. The Terminator may be integrated with a valve mounted vacuum regulator to give added safety against gasket or packing leaks.

Power for the Terminator is provided by a self-contained 12-volt battery and charger that are continuously monitored by a microprocessor located in the control panel. The system uses 115 / 230 AC for the charger, and in the event of power failure, the battery will retain enough power to close the valve for up to 7 days. During a prolonged power outage, the microprocessor will automatically close the valve before the battery is depleted.

The Teminator is available in two control systems. The Mercury and the Gemini. The Mercury system is used with one actuator on a cylinder. The Gemini systems are designed for installation in conjunction with automatic switch over systems that use two 150 lb. gas cylinders.
